Talking My first finished trance tune! Please tell me your thoughts...

Hello fellow tranceaddicts...

I've been reading posts and downloading your songs on here for about six months and have been honestly blown away by the talent on here. I finally put an entire track together and would love to hear what some trained ears have to say.

DJ Angell - Beneath the Waves

I set up this site at mp3unsigned.com. Can't wait to get some feedback!

Cheers,

DjAngell

well if it's your first track ever thats not bad , you got alot of stuff to work on , i'm listening with crappy headphones atm , so it's hard to say but your sound needs alot of work + where's da kick m8?
the beat is kinda empty , but keep on working , that's a start..
have a nice day

thanks for the feedback...

sounds like the kick is plenty loud to me. maybe i just didn't do a good job mastering? any other suggestions to help improve my sound then?

i suppose that "professional" sound can be fairly elusive...

cheers,

DjAngell

eq the bass and hats... what should i do? emphasize the high end on the hats and the low end on the kick? is it usually that simple? i didn't mess with any eq stuff b/c i've never had any idea where to go with it...

cheesy bass? i pretty much agree, but starting out i want to first be able to achieve a decent sound, even if it is a bit cheesy thanks for the compliment on the melody.

i'm headed out of town til tuesday, i'll work on all that stuff when i get back.

thanks again guys!

I think u should lower the pitch on the kick firstly.
Try and stretch the bassline a bit (add more release), and either quieten it or add gain in the higher frequencies and remove gain in the lower frequencies because it is a very deep round bass that doesn't fit in the track very well.

Other than that it is a good track especially for a first.
