Why does everyone hate on Gielen, As a producer with Svenson he has come out with multiple anthems ( Twisted , We Know What You Did, Answere the Question ). He wouldn't be playing Trance Energy, Sensation and other huge event's if he was shitty ,also he has 3, 5 hour solo dates comming up and a Johan Gielen solo album comming too. 24 is a very fair ranking for Gielen.

Compared to other top jocks, his mixing is very shitty. And yes you can argue that Tiesto and Oakey both have rough mixing at times, but they both have a huge impression on the music. Tiesto's productions alone make up for his shotty mixing. And Oakey, well he's Oakey and one of the best ever.

Gielen's made some descent songs with Svenson, but its always with Svenson. Gielen doesn't have much credit with me as being a "great" dj.

bah i think he's right, i saw johan live and going to see him live in 3 weeks 2x times... he's great
listen to lift off his weekly show, it's awesome

and i dont want to say it here but im doing it: sometimes its better then asot, but he hasnt got all the newest tracks

fuck all you Gielen haters.
he plays good tunes and the crowds reaction says it all.fair enough,he aint the best at mixing,but who gives a fuck,he's good enough.

Being a good dj aint all about technical ability.

To me,his TE 2002 set will always remain in top 5 of all time.

And to top it off,hes a nice guy.
