chris liberator is a d.j. and a producer. besides his prolific work for stay up forever and cluster under a massive range of pseudonyms & collaborations, (including a mass of work with, amongst others, d.a.v.e. the drummer, guy mcaffer, lawrie immersion, julian & aaron liberator, ant and darc marc. he has also recorded under his own name for many other labels, including tec, prolekult and smitten. as a dj, he has been voted in the top 50 dj’s in the world in dj magazine’s poll, for the fourth year running.he regularly plays throughout the u.k, europe and most of the world with the other liberator d.j.’s. he was one of the first western d.j’s to work in the former iron curtain states and to pioneer the acid techno sound there. he has played in more exotic locations such as australia, israel, japan, brazil and venezuela and spreads his inimitable d.j. style with frequent visits to the u.s.a & canada. he co-owns and runs thestay up forever label collective, (with the other liberators) which includes their labels stay up forever and cluster.recently he launched his own labels "maximum minimum" and wah wah for techno, and "yolk" for tech-house. he has also released the critically acclaimed debut solo album entitled "set fire" on tec.
