He took steroids?? Lol...he sure is a disgrace to the sprinting community in Canada...he could have been great, not sure about the greatest but he could have been good....

How was it that tested positive like a month ago after winning 2 gold medals? How dumb, don't these people realize that all winners get tested...

Still, I do beleive we had a record for almost 2 years with Donavan Bailey, and we never hear anything about him any more.

And as for steriods, well you can go to any health store and get something legal that will enhance your body.

They all use steroids.. If Johnson was an American none of this would have happened.. but us Canadians want to maintain some squeeky-clean image and in doing so end up embarassing the ppl we have represent us athletically..

Ben may not be the smartest but he trained fucking hard and dont think taking some steroids makes it a walk in the park either. I still see him at the York U Track & Field Centre sometimes. while he's a shadow of his former self you have to wonder what it must've been like to go from superstar to being labelled a cheater - knowing full well his colleagues partake in the same methods.

Then again, he was caught 4 different times in 4 different years...with drugs....he did it to himself. Donovan Bailey did not use steroids and look at him...he had a world record and a gold medal to show for it and what does ben have?

what happened to him? he ripped his achilles and will not compete at the same level again.

Bens not the greatest of all time. But he does have incredible feats for his day.
Modern day sprinting isnt about running, its about biochemistry team behind the sprinter. Whats legal, what can we feed you to bulk up, do less damage to muscle and how can we propel you down the track faster.

I'm not saying donovan did not use steroids...just was never caught...and his drug tests after atlanta were clean..soo he was better than ben. You do have a valid point there...flo-jo and jackie joyner kersee...looked like men....they had to be using steroids.
