soulseek is ur friend i've managed to find way more stuff on there than anywhere else.....I'm not on the TA hub yet (need to get off my butt and join), but I do use Oldo's hub (another good Direct Connect hub which most ppl tell me is better than the TA one anyway), and I always end up getting annoyed with it and going back to Soulseek - cos Direct Connect doesn't tell u things like what position u are in the queue, etc etc - I like knowing things like whether I'm gonna have to wait an hour or a year for my download to start *lol*
(does anybody remember Audiogalaxy tho?? damn, i am still in mourning for that...it was so awesome *sigh*)

ps. kazaa is truly crapola......half the time, if i search for a file on kazaa it comes up with no results - whereas on soulseek it comes up with heaps
the other thing i like about soulseek is it lets u actually go in and view ppl's entire directories of files....often, if u do a search and a user comes up as having a file u want, if u then go in and view their whole list u find they have a ton of other stuff from the same genre/artist....i've collected some pretty rare old stuff that way!! plus most ppl on there are pretty friendly, and always up for a good talk bout music and the scene....have met a few on there i'll hopefully be able to meet up with in europe next year
k, back to my work now...enuff procrastinating

i remember the good old day's of Napster...
Those were the days... kazza seems ok if you like to find files n start the download only to say "More Sources Neede" Like helllllooo...
Anyways soulseek seems to rule the galaxy atm, untill then, keep ur ear to the grindstone...

i fully agree with beema, i prefer soulseek to the dc hub.

*looks at sig*
its not a program like soulseek or anything. its a forum where people post music with a direct link to it. electronic dance music is easily the most popular on it. go check it out

i'm a DC fan myself. soulseek i admit is shitloads more resourceful, but being on a 56k it just isnt as appealing with download rates n being cued up for what may seek yonks. Beemer, with DC ur also able to dig thru ppl's share directories. what i like bout DC, is that you're also able to find all the users with that same file, so if the off chance that a person ur dling from gets offline [quite often with a modem connection], it'll automatically download from the next person. does soulseek offer that? if so, i'll change =) also use dc for a few hiphop hubs which are pretty neato.

k here's my 2 pesos worth:
Kazaa = porn, lotsa free porn.
EMC (the TA) Hub = lotsa trance + tiny bit of porn
OLDO's Hub = lotsa trance and everything else + little bit of porn
Soulseek = lotsa everything + little bit of porn.
i go for the hubs when im after some sweet sweet cable speed action and i go soulseek for the hard to find stuff. hope that helps (hope you like porn).

agree, definitely the best place on the net for livesets. If your lucky Megs you should still be able to download the GTR vs Pulser liveset from Sydney
Just grabbed reflections and 76 of simple mp3s. Also got the sensation albums and a few other interesting things

Guys,
If Swamper sees this, he's not going to be happy. He's posted specificly asking people NOT talk talk about d/l sites before (and has been removing any threads based on such topics).
