Confused Percussion and Base line in Fruity Loops?

Has anybody any tips on creating percussion techno loops in fruity loops?? And wat to use and not to use effects on in de loops, for eg. not to use reverbe on the kick.
I wanna create a loop like the loop starting off in John Thomas - Undisputed Life. Or any of Picottos work?
Has any1 any tips on creating that sound??
And also how to make good base lines? Do u use reverbe on the base line? Wat do ya use reverbe and compressors on?
Thanks

Um on the loops got no idea what you mean... (newbie on some stuff)

On Bass lines the question is like any tips on how to make good songs, look for what you like fx and all. that's what I do, because that is in the creative department.

There is a button in fruity labeled "Make me a good percussion and bass line". Just click it and you'll have an awesme bassline

but seriously, this kind of question isn't really a good question... kind of similar to those "How do I make a good trance song?" questions... There are no answers because the question is too general.. Try something like, how do I make a bassline that sound's like (insert track name or producer name)'s bassline?

The first thing u need to do is get loads of samples, as a lot of the 1s that come with fl arent very good. Listen to how other producers use percussion and try to copy it. It will take AGES before ur able to make anything that sounds like a pros does so just keep trying.
For basslines, download some synths and mess about with the presets till ur good enough to make ur own.
Cant be arsed going into detail here sorry
