many many choices....
well, since you'll be here for 2 weeks, there will be plenty of options. There is a place for you, it just depends what type of venue, crowd, music, etc...that you like. There are the places that will require you to wait outside for awhile until the door guy decides to let you in---and then there are the places that will let everyone in. If you have women with you--always a plus. Now of course, SPACE nightclub is a virtual must at somepoint for someone who has never been here. It's downtown, along with TWILO, NOCTURNAL, PAWNSHOP...all worthwhile places. On October 7, SPACE has Steve Lawler in Mainroom...then on Terrace for afterhours. That should be good. Fridays for afterhours (usually around 3 am on or so) is good at Nocturnal---always have a good time. Space has a VERY liberal dress code. You can show up in just about anything but crappy tennis shoes and a hat...and get in. It's a real "clubbers" club. ON the beach, you have a ton of options---startingn with Mansion--huge club, usually a stricter dress code (but nothing too bad---nice jeans, shirt and shoes wll do nicely)---but glitzier (more girls though October 14th i'm acutally going there for PAUL OAKENFOLD and SANDRA COLLINS. You can get pre-sale tickets on Wanttickets.com. That should be a pretty damn good time. Consider it. On Sundays, brunch and all day/night house grooves at NIKKI BEACH. You've got a plethera of bars/lounges and clubs on SOBE. You should check out on of the hotel bars to chill at with friends....make sure you dress well there though---it's pretty swank. I'll let others fill you in....but check out "COOLJUNKIE.COM" That will give you a list of clubs/bars/lounges...and an active forum that discusses upcoming events. People don't start talking usually until like the week before---but keep an eye on it. Hope you have a great time here. save your pennies...miami ain't cheap either!!
