mixers, amps, speakers

Im thinking of buying a mixer and I came up with these 2:

1.Vestax pcv275
2.Behringer DJX700 Pro $200

I've used my friend's 275 and I must say I love it, esp with me doing just mixing not hiphop.

I want know if the behringer mixers are any good. If you can pleas give me some feedback for the DJx700 that would be helpful.

Also thinking of buying an amp and some speakers but I'm low on dough so I'll try to get the cheapest I can get. I came up with,

speakers: Gemini GSM-1550 (150 watts, 300 peak) for $180 a pair. I know that gemini don't make the greatest speakers but i'm really low on money.

amplifier: Gemini X-1 for #170.]]

are there better stuff I can get with the money I have right now? Or should I wait, save up , and get better equips.?

I just got the Behringer DJX700. Honestly, you get what you pay for. Its nothing special but its a really good deal. The Vestax are great quality mixers but more expensive. Search for the many threads talking about the DJX700

Vestax pcv275 is a good mixer. i have it and love it.

If you want to save yourself some money you can find great used amps on ebay.

if you can, try to check each mixer out on your own for as long as possible. then make the decision based on what feels best with you. youre going to be playing on it, might as well really like it!

also, SAVE UP FOR AMP AND SPEAKERS!! i saved for soooooo long.. shit i waited months and months until i had enough money for some nice JBL speakers and a pioneer amp. damn good shit.. its a great investment and i highly recommend you save up for it. because once you save up and get a nice system, it will last and you wont need a new one for ages, and you get great quality. thats the best advice i could give you

It's generally true that you pretty much get what you pay for. Behringer can afford to retail the DJX700 for $200 because they obviously use cheaper components and manufacturing techniques than those employed in more expensive mixers, like the PCV275 for instance, and of course the much more expensive Allen & Heath or Tascam models. I've heard nothing but good reviews on the PCV275, it is definitely worth the extra cash and is not overpriced imo.
