Help with equipment

I need a soundcard for my G4 laptop and Dell comp - I need suggestions...

I need a MIDI interface - Im thinking Emagic Unitor8 or AMT8 since I will be using Logic - suggestions?

I need a mixer - probably an analog one since I will do most of my digital work on Logic is the Mackie SR244 good? - suggestions?

Is a MIDI interface also called a MIDI hub?
