another headfone question...

yeah yeah, another headfone question. Sorry. I am looking into getting a new set of fones. I have cheaper Sony's, and the quality is just not that great. I was in a record store in the city yesterday, and i was listening to some records with Seinnheiser (sp?) headfones, and they were noticably better than the ones I have at home. The bass was much more clear and crisp. I'm looking for such a pair of headfones. price isn't really a concern. I want the best. So, pound for pound, what is your opinion to what the best headfones are. I'm talking for DJ use here.

IMO I think the Pioneer HDJ-1000s are the best, of course I am a but bias because I own them, but I have used the Sony 500s and 700s and I think the HDJ-1000s top them both easily. However I have not tried the Sennhieser's (although I want to)

if money is no issue

get the sennhiesers
you can't go wrong. very awsome headphones. cancel out outside sounds very well and have superb quality.
pioneer DJ1000's are also very good, but i'd go with hte sennheiser over them.

unfortunatly for me, money was an issue so i got the sony v770's.
they are decent. they get the job done well for 90 dollars.

Sennheiser HD25's all the way. try the Pioneers HD-1000's or whatever there called for some awesome phones. They are very clear & very light weight.

I've used the HDJ-1000s and definately prefer the Sony MDR-V900s over them. I use them every day and they're great. I haven't used the senns so I don't know how they compare, but I'd definately take the V900s over the HDJ-1000s.
