Does VS consist of 4 TT's, 2 Mixers, and what do they do really?

ahhh, generally: 4 turntables - NO.
all the Talla 2XLC vs ???? are two CDs where each DJ makes his own mix. Then you have AvB vs. System F which is one CD where both did some mixes, I guess they taken turns on the transitions...
and then there are some very rare live shows where you actually have 4 turntables and 1 or 2 mixers. Westbam and Afrika Islam did this a couple of times, I know Richie Hawtin did it with someone I don't remember, but I wouldn't know if there is a CD with something like that on it...

yeah im thinking that 2x4(-ing) is a lot more common w/ stuff like techno, and esp drum'n bass

trance its kinda almost pointless unless you sampling a lot
