Arrow Professional studio

Is there a program that replaces a complete hardware studio AND offers exactly the same quality as really professional hardware studio. The program must be so good, that it sounds like exactly the same if you use the best hardware money can buy.

there is alot great software.... caus it's not what you have it's how you use it.

caus there is many pro producers that are using much hardware, but there is pro producers using software too.

it's just to get a prog like fruitystudio and some VST's and some samples and start producing.. hehe

Short answer:
No. There is no single software package that offers everything from synths and other instruments right through to recording abilities and multitracking and is of professional quality.

Long Answer:
It is possible to produce electronic music that is professional quality using primarily software. Using something like Cubase SX, a super-fast computer (with a professional sound card) that's powerful enough to run a whole army of VST instruments and effect plugins, it can be done. But don't kid yourself into thinking you're going to be the next BT or PVD using just software - these guys have entire studios full of high-end gear as well as recording engineers at their disposal!

Why would you want to only use software anyways? Hardware is so much fun!

It's not a question of necessity - it's a question of enjoyment!

ROFL

First of all software can't duplicate a true analog synth like the Roland Juno-106...yet!

I prefer hardware synths for tweaking.

I prefer hardware reverbs.

As for the rest, software is great.

Software is great cos of its built in integration. You open up FL or Reason and its all there. You want to change something and you can just make a little adjustment. There's no need for cables and endless powerboards.

On the other hand, hardware is more fun to play around with. Being able to touch everything is a great advantage over using a screen.

As for hi-end software, you'd be looking at the TDM stuff. Access has the virus on TDM, though I don't know how it compares. Roland was going to remake the tb for TDM as well, which would be super cool, if i had pro-tools that is.

So far though, no-body has been able to emulate hardware perfectly as far as synths go. Pro-52/53 came no-where near a real prophit-5, rebirth isn't that great of a copy of a 303. Inevitably, in a couple of years when we're running mulit-gig processors, there is a greater chance of this happening but designers tend to get as close as they can be bothered and then stop.
