senn. hd-280 help
This question is regarding the ear pads of the Senn. HD-280's. I purchased my pair of these headphones back in July of this year. Two weeks after I got them, the ear pads started to tear. The black outer material started to rip away and tear in very small specks. This left the foam padding under it to be exposed and the more I wore them, the more the black stuff tore away. I emailed Sennheiser about this and they sent me two more replacement ear pads in August. Now I have the same problem as earlier with the new pads.
Could this be a possible flaw in the design of these headphones? I haven't abused my headphones in any way. I use them to DJ and to listen to music on, so I don't see how they could tear this soon. I wear glasses as well. Could the arms of my glasses be causing this? If anyone who has these headphones can comment on this, I'd really appreciate it.
One more thing, I was wondering if the ear pads from the HD-500, 570, or 590 can be used on the 280's. Thanks for any help.
