Is Working really worth it ?

I got really bored and i have just calculated where all my money goes every year, i have been working full time for 2 years, this is where is all goes.

BASIC WAGE £14,200.00 (YEAR)

WAGE DEDUCTIONS FROM GOVERMENT
----------------------------
TAX £2114.00 (YEAR)
NATIONAL INSURANCE £1000.00 (YEAR)
----------------------------TOTAL = £3114.00

TRAVEL EXPENSES TO TRAVEL TO WORK.
-----------------------------
CAR LOAN £2400 (YEAR)
ROAD TAX £150.00 (YEAR)
FUEL £600.00 (YEAR)
INSURANCE £550.00 (YEAR)
SERVICE & MOT £200 (YEAR)
------------------------------ £3900.00

SO FROM £14,200 I AM LEFT WITH ----- (£7186)

GOING OUT beer/cinema etc £25 AVERAGE PER WEEK £1300 A YEAR
CLOTHES £30 A MONTH £360 A YEAR
MISC SHOPPING DVD'S £240 A Year
BIRTHDAYS AND CHRISTMAS PRESENTS £300 YEAR
DINNERS AT WORK £2 A DAY @ 230 WORK DAYS £460

HOLIDAY WITH MATES OR GIRLFRIEND £1000 PLUS SPENDS

------------SO FAR IM LEFT WITH ---- £3526

average that out over 365 days thats £9 per day.

---------- my point is that the goverment are taking the piss imagine running a house from those earnings mortgage at 60k, and bills and everything it would be impossbile, 14k a year is not bad for my area, managers are only on £14k, area managers are on £22k, the more i travel to earn more money the more i get taxed , theres no decent earnings these days unless your a dealing crack. im sure you all feel pissed off too.

You want to become a uni student - the government gives you £4k a year + a £15k work placement for a year, and you spend it all on beer and pizza, it's great! The best bit is you dont have to pay it back till you're earning over about £12k a year. If you never earn that much, you never pay it back!!

how much do students usually owe its something like £15000.00 on student fees and loans, plus your mortgage which would be £50,000 easy plus tax on your new job, and travelling, its crazy , and as above i like working but it would be nice to work from home like 3 hours a week maybe live on Ebay .

that sucks big time

I get a great pay for someone my age ( actually better then what my mother gets ) but I still have a hella load of expenses ..

My car insurance ( PER MONTH ) is about 135 Quid :/
I don't spend tons on gas cause it's cheap here I go for like 80 Quid per month and I'm on the road about 2.5 hours a day for work.... ( thank god to cheap gas )

otherwise I got all the usual rent etc but I do get a major cut cause I'm still at home.

Now the thing with my job I been there couple months and I have a major issue ..... I have a one and a half or so drive in the morning ... and tend to be late at times because of traffic. I get up the earliest + drive the farthest for the job and yet they give me crap for being late I know I can't say I need special treatment cause of where I live but it does get a bit frustrating when I'm stuck in traffic and I know that in 45 minutes when I'll get to work I'll be super late

damn job

althought i somewhat agree with what youre saying and ur post is clever, the idea of having money is to spend it and enjoy your life. u cant spend money on cars, food, socialising, enjoying urself and then moan u have no money left at the end of the year.
