Evil1 Does anyone remember this game?

I'm tryin to remember the name of an old pc game: it was a 2d environment with tanks placed on hills (i think 2-8 tanks depending on how many you chose before the game), and each tank was trying to hit the other tanks by changing the trajectory. After each level, each tank got a certain amount of money for how well they did (minus their expenses) that they could use to buy new kinds of weapons. It had weapons like nukes, cluster bombs, napalm, parachutes (to save you in case someone blew up the ground below you and you fell), batteries (so you could move around on the map), etc. I think it's called tank wars or something. I've been trying to find this forever and I can't remember the name!

There are two of them. One's called Tankwars, the other is called Scorched Earth. Scorched Earth had more weapons and other "features".

Do a google search and tack on the term "abandonware" - you may come up with something.

There is an excellent (but modern, with decent graphics) game like this called pocket tanks, u might wanna have a look at it. Its a 1 vs 1 game, and the amount and range of weapons is crazy.

Battletanks... I remember that, got boring quite quickly tho, for me anyway, my friend (the geeky friend that is) loved it though.
