American football is a derivation of rugby football and that is where it ot its name from. And they do use their feet...just not very often

Im not sure, some clown prolly thought of it.

But this wasnt bout football (soccer), i was just wondering, why they called it football when they dont use their feet.

I know they have aussie rules football in australia and i think they use their feet quite frequently in that sport, but whenever ive seen american football i never seen anyone use their feet

american football players use their feet! they use it to start the game (kick off), after half time, PAT's and field goals.

i am not sure where the term "soccer" came from. it sounds more like a boxing term to me.
