» MARTIN ROTH BIO
Martin Roths ascent through the ranks of trance musics biggest stars has been somewhat meteoric.
In the past twelve months his remixes for Paul Van Dyk on The Other Side, Thrillseekers on By your Side, Keane Last Time and Blank & Jones on Perfect Silence and Mind of the Wonderful have pricked the ears of every major DJ, A&R guru and trance music follower across the globe.
The thirty one year old Frankfurt based DJ / producer made his breakthrough in the trance scene over two years ago with a remake of Cygnus Xs classic track The Orange Theme, receiving huge coverage from the major DJs. Around the same time, Paul Van Dyk discovered Martins track Energize, released under the project name Technopunk and remixed it for his own label Vandit, resulting in a huge amount of interest in Martins productions. Martin was then asked by Paul to remix another track Jose Amnesia vs. Serp -Second Day for his Vandit which went on to become another successful release.
Promos of Martins new single Shockwaves on his own label LUNATIQUE received huge responses from the leading DJs and Martins reputation as a seriously consistent producer continued to build.
Behind the DJ booth the same natural talent is purveyed. Using a combination of vinyl, CD decks and the revolutionary Ableton Live software allows Martin to blur the borders between DJing and live performances, creating a unique experience for the crowds who travel to see him perform.
But Martin isnt such a newbie as you might think. If you dig a little deeper youll find the man behind many successful projects under many different aliases spanning many genres confirmed his great versatility as an artist and accumulating over quarter of a million vinyl sales over the past decade. Fans of harder edged music will remember Martin as one of the key elements in the global success of German label and Scot Project associated concept Overdose Recordings, where Martin achieved admirable success under aliases including DJ Wag, Y.O.M.C, DJ Overdog and Yakooza.
With his own name now set as his main pseudonym firmly established as hot future trance phenomenon, Martin is looking forward to great success in 2006 with UK DJ performances already lined up for superclubs including Godskitchen, The Gallery and Passion and international tours in Australia, across Asia, North America and across East & Central Europe the future looks very promising for trances man of the moment.
Ever since I got a bootleg mix of Keane I’ve been a big fan of Martin’s sound. It’s still trance but for grown ups. A big sound for big floors! Armin Van Buuren
Martin Roth is one of the few German artists with a continuous output of the highest level of creativity. Paul van Dyk

» BEN EVANS BIO
In an era when many DJs focus their set to cater for just one musical taste, Ben Evans manages to achieve an all too rare sonic balance. His sound is a fusion of tribal, progressive, techno and trance which can take those lucky enough to be present on a journey into the sublime.
His skilful adaptability as a DJ sees Ben weave a rich, liquid blend of aural style and colour and whose reputation for doing just this through his Interview parties has led him to amass a passionate following and assure him a much deserved place in a multitude of other endeavours.
With a heavy focus on the UK sound, Phat Camel Productions, (Phat & Furious @ Ace Morning Bar) plus the guys with a new party brand ‘Tweakin’, launched this year, have enlisted Ben’s involvement as a contributing factor into bringing more of this much needed sound back to the Melbourne scene.
Additionally, the crew at Frantic have also recognised the value of having Ben onboard so he’s in line to rock both a trance night of theirs called PLAY and a Sunday session to kick off at the White Bar called PUSH.
Along with a stack of local party crews, larger organisations such as Earthcore, Hardware, Killrockstar and Loaded Entertainment have expressed interest in Ben’s contributing factors and will shed more light on the Interview Crew over 2006, 2007 and the coming years.
In conjuction with Electric Bliss, Ben has been a driving force behind such a series of warehouse parties known as Bassic, Neverland , To Thrill a Rocking Bird and a collection of rooftop parties known as A.I.R A fortnightly radio spot is being launched December 06 for www.mixsd.net an Australian internet radio station showcasing local & international talent and news from the world of Interview.
Ben’s continued collaborations with Melbourne producer, Blinky, will further mesh the sounds of Decks Vs Laptop to amalgamate a deep and dirty progressive techno sound. It’s a proven formula, having already triumphed at Bassic 06 and regularly at Bughauz and Interview.
Lastly, 2006 saw Interview go very large indeed. As well as his hugely popular monthly events at Tilt, Ben had a great number of people hit Brown Alley in Melbourne in September for a huge party featuring special guest Andy Moor (UK). It was more than enough to guarantee that Interview will host more future big room sessions every few months.
Mindless Entertainment will be looking after Ben’s Interstate bookings as of December 06 having had several requests to be booked nationally, Most recently Mackay QLD for February. please check out www.mindlessent.com for more information.
Along with the monthly interview parties around town some on Australia’s largest promotions crews are enlisting Ben’s help to bring their productions to Melbourne. Beat Division based in Sydney are using Interview to bring their Gatecrasher Summer Sound System party to Melbourne on Boxing Day featuring a massive line-up of International and National artists and several more in conjunction with other brands.
Amongst the Interview parties Ben’s continued support with crews such as Obsession, Transcendence, Tilt, 140BPM, 3D Nightclub, PUSH and a collection of others have seen Ben’s diversity in sound and event production take him to new level’s time and time again. And its all because of his passion for the music and the people along with his no bullshit lets just party attitude.
