Hey guys, I'm quite certain many of you have found learning theory very dry.. Well this flash website makes learning chords and scales easy by taking a different approach.. Highly recommended!
If i show this to my tutor at college, will it mean i wont have to go to his lessons??

this only teaches you the chords.. which aren't that important b/c you only need to know like about, maximum, 10 different types of chords to make music
The key is, now that you know all those chords, how do you put it together so that it actually sounds good. Which parts of the chords go in the melody? bass? Do the notes always have to be in the chord?? stuff like that...
easiset way to learn all that, is to pick up an instrument like piano and guitar and start playing off tabs of some rock/alternative songs

hmmm disagre with learning with tabs etc... I've been playing the guitar for over 8 years and I have neglected the music theory for a long time... I found myself very stunded when it came to chord structure (even though I prolly know over 120 chords on the guitar).. Music theory- get on that keyboard and start playing
Infact there are some good tutorials on computermusic.co.uk on begining to learn theory.
