i was used to able to burn .iso images until i replaced my OEM burner with a new plextor burner now nero wont burn iso images. for some reason it will only burn it to a .bin or a .nrg file. and not to how the disc should be such as a prog. i have made 4 coasters trying to do different things (so i think) but getting the same result. i have no idea what could be so different since i have burned .iso files before without a problem.
i have tried to uninstall nero and disconnect the new cd-rw and reinstall the old drive and install nero but the same thing keeps happening.
i am lost of what to do, other than take my 12 gauge to it. i am so mad about this.
anyone else been though this? and have a solution?

I've never had a problem with Nero and ISO burns, so it might be your burner settins and connection to your mobo.

I've tried using NERO 6, but I found it fails to burn .CUE/.MP3 items, so I uninstalled and went back to version 5.5.10.42. You should check the compatability of your burner with the Nero program itself, and then get the latest 5.x version, because it is the most stable. If you do not fix your problem, return the burner or find a new program to burn *.iso files with.

it is still burning the iso file into a bin. this is with a new burner with nero 5.5 that came with it. i am thinking the iso file is bad or something.
