anyone heard of the new bittorrent distrubution method?

while you download, you upload as well, meaning that the more leechers, the more productive the download is for everyone!

anyways I find a lack of trance support, check out www.suprnova.org if you want to see the potential for this new method type if TRANCEADDICT.com would make an excluive trance database for torrents?

we could post up all the different livesets, with minimal bandwidth for tranceaddict.com (you only download the 100k setup file for the bittorrent client) and then you will download along with everyone else that set.

this would be ideal for us tranceaddicts, and if swamper doesn't want to do it, anyone else here run a site and would be interested??

yep it's a good idea but seems that TA doesn't support filesharing anymore.

Yep, that`s why this is never going to happen. The tracks on the main page are an exception since they are authorised by the artists.

The difference is that the bandwidth usage on downloads is mainly by ppl who have no clue about any of the stuff you mentioned and just need a simple way of going somewhere, clicking, and downloading -- that's it.

The newbie to trance who has no clue about computers is not going to go to the trouble of fiddling with that stuff - and it is the newbie to trance that needs to get access to the music as easy as possible if they're ever going to broaden their musical horizon beyond that of what is mainstream in their local market.

I agree with you about that, remember when I was a newbie, downloading like crappy dance thinking it was trance.. but I am saying even if its not officially 'TA' website, or related, I see this place as being the top for the real community, and I want to see some movement to create a trance bittorrent website/community.

It is such a good way to trade livesets etc....

and isn't it ok if it was recorded off the radio??

even if it's recorded from the radio the tracks still have copyright

This BT isn't working very well!

Me and some friends of me are working in a Trance Bittorrent site....we think that this night(22h GMT+1) the tracker will be 100% operative. We would like to offer the tracker to the TA forums users :-)

Why don't you start your own trance tracker, or seed some files of your own instead of asking others to.
