Nero Problem

Hey all.

Ive recently reformatted my PC and have been installing all the apps i want again.

I installed nero with no problems, but it is not picking up my cdrw. It worked fine before i formatted. In Nero i go to the menu "Recorded" then "Choose Recorder" but it only had the virtual device for recording.

Im using win2k, and that picks up my cdrw fine and i can use it like a conventional cdrom drive. I also went into CP->System->Device Manager and made sure the cdrw had "use DMA" if possible" selected.

Have i missed something very obvious here?!

Any help appreciated.

Nell

I've had that before, make sure you put in the right serial, there are serials for Sony burners, etc. If you put the wrong one in, the drive won't show up.

serials as in for the program to register it? because i've never heard of that problem associated with nero..weird.

i did have Nero not detecting a DVDRW+- drive before, I had to update its firmware and a couple other things to get it to see it correctly. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I've had it a few times, there are serials that unlock the program for all burners and others are for certain makes. If you put the one for all burners it should work, unless it's a firmware problem.
