one of my indie rock-listening friends introduced me to this band, "the faint" they have a very uniqie electronic/rock sound (more electronic that rock), and it's done and produced very well. check out "agenda suicide", "danse world" (this has a mad wikked synth riff.. you must listen to it!), "your retro career melted", or "the conductor" off their "danse macabre" album. real quality productions.
what i really wanted to know is if there are any other bands of this sort (with a real heavy electronic edge) that you guys can recommend?

Older Junkie XL tracks are also very Prodigy-like with vocal/rapping/guitars laid on heavy breakbeats.
lol.. give me some credit, i know both of prodigy's and junkie xl's discographies very well
listen to the songs i mentioned to see what kind of sound i'm talking about. these guys sound kinda like new wave but with much heavier electonics (or electroclash with more rock influece.. hard to desciribe, you really must listen..)

I LOVE The Faint
They just put out a CD of remixes of their songs from Danse Macabre. Paul Oakenfold is one of the more notable artists that has a remix on the CD. It's not a bad collection of remixes...You can't beat the original CD though, it's amazing. Anyway, I might have a suggestion for techno-rock.
If you havent: Try some tracks of Apoptygma Berzerk, not "Kathy's song", but harder stuffs like: "Eclipse", "Until the end of the world", "Fade to black" and "Suffer in silence".
Love them all!!!

A few of the tracks off Amethyst's "Golden Fish Fever" album fall into that category I'd say. Particularly "Electric Jesus" and a couple of others, can't remember the names off by heart but the whole album is worse checking out.

I'm pretty sure Kosheen's newest album was going towards a more rock sound. There earlier one "Hungry" was some pretty cool DNB. check-um out

Sounds like psytrance, but their songs are performed live by a 3 person band, complete with guitars, drums, and synths...
