a question about track selections

Okay, since I started DJing i've pretty much been sticking to melodic and uplifting trance, occasionally stuff on the slightly harder side. nowadays i'm trying to broaden my track selections to make sets that start up uplifting and turn into somewhat more bangin' techy/proggy stuff. i came up with this tracklist, do you think it fulfills the goal of being varied yet still making some sort of musical sense? (i hope i don't sound confusing )...please make constructive comments.

Little Wonder - Eclipse (Faraway project mix)
Oceanlab - Clear Blue Water (Ferry Corsten Mix)
Cosmicman - I love You
Matt Hardwick vs. Smith & Pledger - Day One (Above & Beyond Remix)
Misja Helsloot - First Second (Ralphie B Mix)
Sisko - Light Over Me (Transa Remix)
Valley Project - Heat (Kansai Mix)
Boss@nova - Stone Cold
Cortez - Scaramanga
Marco V - The Mutalisk
Nathan Fake - Outhouse
Wireband Network - Orbit (Airwave Mix)

i dont know all of those tracks. so i really cant tell you how well they mix togeather. however, if you are spinning proggy its usually best to start out with some deep stuff and then move up into the more 'bumpin/dance/harder' stuff later on in the set. just slowly have your tracks progress and build up to one another.

also, kinda off topic, but you might wanna bring the BPM up a few notches towards the end of the set... really get stuff moving.. yah know?

i don't really know those tracks either.
but with your trackselections be diverse as unique as you can. try to get a good flow going. try to make your mix all over the place yet smoothly put together.

a current mix i've been working on recording starts out very weird techy, strange and very chill, then it becomes more trancey but stays chill. then it gets very deep, then it picks up energy slowly, eventually hitting an awsome uplifting track which leads into a banging track, then afterwards the mix is slowly brought down to being more chilled deep pretty and melodic, then getting hard and grooving on the proggy side then slowing down until it climaxes with a very chilled out and emotional track.

oh on a side note

When i first started mixing i played alot of uplifting tunes , when i played out it was a lesson to be learnt; too many uplifting tracks in a row really kills the energy of the crowd so slap in some stuff that gets the legs moving with out many "lone breaks".

If u mixing a cd then i uplifting all the way would be good coz ure only listening not dancing.

good luck
