My first tune posted here

This is my first tune posted here at tranceaddict.com I've been producing for about a year now, but only finished about 15 songs of different qualities
Altitude is my latest song, it's also the first one that I produce using fruity studio (all previous work was done in reason). I hope you like it, remember that I'm pretty new at this.
BTW, I can't master at all, I know that...
VSTi's used include Triangle I and II, pro-53 and FreeAlpha

UPDATE! : I've uploaded a new version of the song. The bass has been tweaked alot and 2 new bass synths have been added. The kick (after hours of struggle btw ) has been improved somewhat. I hope this give it some extra punch . Also, the high hats were bugging me, and fractal structure pointed that out as well. I've reworked the percussion and it's slightly better now, although I'd want it to be much more complitcated and tighter, I just don't have the skills to make it that way

Low Profile - Altitude

and also, please let me know if the link doesn't work (sorry for the html web page, direct links to mp3 files don't seem to work on my web space )

First of all, try and make phrase changes come every 8 bars. You have your kick come in after 4 bars and the bassline after another 4. Kinda through me off.

The kick sound is a bit weak. Try and fatten it up a little, or find a meatier kick sample.

The song is missing something. I think its the bassline. I know you have one but i can't feel it. Maybe bring it up in the mix a little to create some drive.

I don't know. The melody is really simple but it works for me. Its fairly repetitve but I did not bore of it, which is good.

So iin general summery, the kick and bassline. This is what drives a song on. Fix this up and you'll be on to something.

Hi Low Profile and welcome to tranceaddict
Starting with hit-hats...not really good idea.
The kick is ... lifeless, and bassline too.I think you shlould work more with effects of your instruments and with the level of each instrument, because in general the sound isn't clear even with 160kbps.
The sound of leads at 3:19 is not bad.I think if you work more with it and take notice of our advances you'll be able to make a good track.
Hey! Good luck!

I agree with the general low-quality of the track. It sounds like it's being played at a much lower bit rate that it is actually at. But for your first trance track the melody and bass are really cool. Work on those mastering skills - good job over all!
