Hey guys. Im comming up to Banff, Alberta, in Feb to go skiing with some mates for a month. Ive been in USA for 6 months and am dying to go clubbing, as i hear the legal age up there is only 18 compared to 21 down here. Which town is nearer to Banff skiing place (lol) Clagary or Edmonton, and more to the point which has the better clubs and hot ski bunnies? Well any advice would be great, including skiing and equipment rental tips.....hey, lets have a TA meet up when i visit eh? RAAAaa.

Hey man, well first the most important and thats the ski bunnies, doesn't matter where you go, Canada has alot of hot females, one of the best things I think since moving here, as for closest city, that would be here, Calgary, thats if your in Banff, as for the clubs, well not to be disrespectful but coming from England to Calgary, you ain't gonna be blown away, we do get a fair amount of good DJs here though, more than I would of thought, but the clubs are nothing spectacular, the Whiskey is one of my favourites, the Warehouse ain't bad, the Palace is very nice, and there are afew other ok ones, but it depends on what music your looking for, if you don't care, you will have a good time, but if your used to the dance scene in England, well thats another story, I think Edmonton has some better clubs but ain't to sure, well anyway, as for the skiing side, its fuckin awesome up here, you will really like it, as for a TA meetup, I don't see why you couldn't maybe sort something out, anyway, if ya have anymore questions just say, see ya.

Unless you are into R&B then Edmonton is shit. Since this is tranceaddict and Edmonton has no trance scene whatsoever, I highly suggest Calgary over Edmonton in terms of clubbing.

I recomend Sunshine over Lake Louise, but for a newcomer to the area, try both, and take the mountain tours, they will show you the good runs that arent all skied off. It also depends when you are here
ski? snowboard? if you can, rent in town(calgary, not banff) as it will be about 1/2 the price of renting on the hill. Banff is significantly close to calgary than to edmonton, and they(banff) have a club Aurora that runs afterhours on saturday night, its actually half decent.

clubbing, calgary is much better than Edmonton. they are a dead city with no scene. Calgary is doing alright. Again, it depends on when you are in town. check the big city master list @ the top of this section to see whos playing where and when. I try to keep it as up to date as I can.

you are here in Feb, so that means lucky you.
you can catch Andy Farley and BK @ The whiskey on Feb 15 in Calgary. Will be one pounding pounding night. And dont worry that the party is on a sunday, we are all used to that by now, itll still be a sell out.
I bet there will be more shows centrered around Valentines (Marco V Feb 6 @ the warehouse I believe) but they will be announced in the coming weeks.

wow guys, thanx for the help i tried this in the Florida section but they arent helpful at all, so, so far West Canada is the best Thx for the advice. I have 2 friends alreadfy up there snow boarding and stuff, and so im going to visit them. I havnt skiied before so im a n00ie to it, but cant wait! Well im 100% that somehow ill hitch a lift to Calgary and lets organise a TA meet up at one of the clubs and party hardy..which i havnt done for 6 months in USA If anyone fancies meeting up to go 'snowing' gimmi a call, id love to make some new friends whilst im out there and meet the local [inc. bunnies] Cheers guys
