KarateKid Programming drums in cubase...

Just got SX 2, was curios how you guys using cubase, program drums. Do you use one shots in a sampler, creating a groove that way,

Do you Rewire with reason and programm drums in reason, mixing down to audio into the cubase sequencer, or do you simply import audio or rex files into cubase and create M points, and just create grooves this way.

Not sure which way i should start, any one got some tips or helpfull suggestions. I would prefer to aviod programming drums in reason to be honest,

Thanks in advance.

Hardware purists would load all the drum sounds into a sampler and trigger that by MIDI.

VSTi users would probably fire up fxpansion DR-008, Steinberg LM4 MkII or Linplug RMIV

actually I think reasons drummachine is one of the best out there, all the functions you need and a very fast and easy interface to work with...

the bad side is that when you run reason in reqiremode to cubase it get's a little laggier because you have both reason and cubase up at the same time

Thanks for the tips guys, but i found the best ever way out using rewire.

Draw the midi into cubase and it triggures the sounds from the nn19 to play, this way you can add effects on both sides and have maximun controll over eveything, life rocks !

I use RM3. I downloaded the RMIV demo, but I couldn't create the usual 10 stereo tracks that I use in the preferences for some reason. Anyone else have this trouble? I'd love to upgrade to the RM IV, but not if I have to sacrifice stereo tracks.
