early sample: push - universal nation (extalin remix)

hey, this is something i started a few days ago. its like a combination of breaks and trance... i just thought id share it here in this stage to get some feedback about which elements people like the most so i can focus in on certain sounds. anyway, here is the song:

Excellent work on the synths, really good job!
Now you need to focus on the drums... the beat is practically nonexistent and you need more percs to give the track some drive.
Also, the bass sounds like it's just 1 constant note throughout...

fixed the link..

thanks for the comments, im not sure why you only hear 1 bass note, because i can hear the 4 note progression when i listen to it. maybe its because its filtered so low..

No, I can hear the progression but the bass itself sounds like it's 1 long note.

I think the drums sit in the track very nicely, Maybee a little more perc but nothing major.

I think the bassline does sounds pretty thin, maybee work a little more on that, or even add a few notes to it on the 0:55 mark.

Other than that, awesome stuff.

ok, i know what you mean about the bass.. i like it that way (its a gated continuous note) but i might not have enough dead space in between the gated parts so on some speaker systems it might sound like just a solid note... ill mess around with that.

thanks for the comments guys.

sounds very good, great synths. and cool added melody towards the end, the beat is also cool. i prefer the bassline melody the way it is in the original mix though, seems like you used the one from the 2002 remake (dunno why he changed that)

makes me wanna dig up my old UN remix and refresh it

nice synths you got there and a nice atmosphere (very dreamy). really like the second synth (sounds a bit oriental ). i'm not sure though whether the bassline is 100% in key everywhere? maybe it'll be fixed when you can hear it better. lovely breakbeats, a nice variation

good luck in finishing it!
