Correct.
Chicken pox is a viral infection; however, the virus in question, varicella zoster virus, causes a more serious condition, shingles, in adults, described as "An acute viral infection characterized by inflammation of the sensory ganglia of certain spinal or cranial nerves and the eruption of vesicles along the affected nerve path. It usually strikes only one side of the body and is often accompanied by severe neuralgia."
So you don't want chicken pox when you're older. I haven't had it myself (I'm 18) nor has my brother or my mother. Consequently we all got vaccinated this year. Ha, take that herpes zoster!
