Vinyl or Mp3's

now im not here to discuss mp3's as a rip off this is a discussion about whether or not you think that the Rave Scene as for parties is moving towards using Cd decks instead of Vinyl Decks....would like to hear your thoughts on this...remember this is not about artists getting ripped off...

Peace

CD Decks don't nesecarily need to be equated with mp3s, people can buy cds as well

Yes, I realize that, but you did say 'mp3 or vinyl', which implied that you equated mp3s with cd decks and not purchased cds.

As for the original question, nah, I reckon vinyl is here to stay, for the forseeable future at least.

Yeah, I agree. In the long-term I'm pretty sure CDs will replace records for DJs, but for now vinyl is still firmly the electronic music medium of choice.

exactly, i have many cd singles from 1998-2000 era and infact still buy some when i see them, in preparation for getting cd decks, so as this guy says, it doesn't have to be mp3 to be on cd's

Realistically, I would say that CDs will replace Vinyl. Only for the fact of mobility. But I think the scene/industry will always support vinyl.

Final Scratch is the best medium of the two right now. A good combination of both formats.
