If you're talking about track selection then fruityloops and other similar sequencing programs are going to do you no good. The only way to really get a grip on track selection is experience. Listen to full length mixes from other DJs and learn from what they do. It takes a lot of time and an intimate knowledge of a lot of songs.
Basically, what people are referring to about people getting tired is that a lot of the higher energy trance tracks have big breakdowns and buildups in them. If you play a bunch of these in a row it gets annoyingly boring. What you want to do is keep the audience guessing, give them a different feel every now and then. Keep the mix clean and smooth but also keep it interesting. And there are a million different ways to make the energy flow in a set. Experiment with it, high to low, low to high, gradual with a swell at the peak of the mix, etc... you can't go wrong because even if it doesn't sound good one time it is still a valuable learning experience.
