Thought i might give some of you guys a bit of background on Sweetchilli, since you may have been hearing a bit more about us recently.

Were a monthly event held in Sydney that basically is there to showcase the best local and international talent, no over hyped shit, just good music and a good night out.

Traditionally we started out as a pure progressive house night, (read the history here) but have now branched out to most genre's while still keeping the progressive ethos/sound. If you like Progressive House/ Progressive Trance /progressive breaks / tech house / Tribal/ techno / Funky house / funk / disco /breaks/ hip hop... etc etc then chances are you'll like sweetchilli

Some of our Interstate and international guests include Dave Seaman, Infusion, James Holden, Kasey Taylor, Rowan Blades. and Locals Like Robbie lowe, Ben Korbel Crispin & myself.

Since the closure of the Dendy, we are looking for a new Monthly home to Kick off again in January. So if you have any suggestions or feeback, put them here, or on our forums.

All larger scale events will now be held at Space! including Renaissance coming up in 2 weeks.

venues in sydney for your size are a bitch to find. God damn dendy closing kicking out so many good nights like Sweetchilli & Liberty parties (leaving me with out a residency ).

Hopefully you will all come back even stronger, but i have NO IDEA on a suitable venue, everywhere seems to be taking up RnB!!!

GAS NIGHTCLUB

I absolutely love, ok it has it's critics and most people regard it as a seedy joint, but I simply love the fact that you get to be so up close and personal with the djs. Hopefully you guys can look into and as Lee mentioned, if anyone can pull off a party, its you guys ! keep up da great work.

Gas would be cool but Progress is on at gas on a saturday and im pretty sure thats a night that wont get pissed off the roster anytime soon...

Ive heard innc isnt too bad, havent been there myself but yeah maybe its an idea??

lol So many of us have recently gone through the same search. Liberty, Josh and friends presents: A night at xxx, i believe Surge and now sweet chilli. It is really hard to find a regular small to medium size venue in sydney.


If you don't mind bringing your own gear you could use the palace? It has a similar feel to Burdekin but not as big and you'd have to bring audio and lighting gear. I could help you with most of the gear if you'd like. Other suggestions: burdekin where liberty is, lizzard lounge (may be a bit small though)

twould be nice if someone could put something decent on in the bottom section of the civic. But it seems to fill up with the commercial crap they play now, so to oust that would be difficult, but it's a nice setup down there.

I'm hoping that the academy might just fill that niche nicely
