I seriously doubt it. I just pulled out my CD 'DJ Nivoc - Infinity' must be at least 4-5 years old. Last time I saw Nivoc at Sona was 1-2 years ago, but I dont recall it being goa.
Anyways so this CD is packed with old school goa tunes such classics as Prana - Voyager III, Total Eclipse - Waiting For a New Life (UBER Classic), and Transwave - Cycles of Life. In my opinion Goa got really bad after 1996. My goa is when Transwave and Cosmosis ruled the planet, or Bypass Unit - Green Dreams (1997.. well that's classic too) A note to tranceaddicts, seriously check this shit out, it will put your trance to shame, there is just soo much more depth in good goa (as you see I'm avoiding the term psytrance)
I agree with you that Goa is a very underground sound, problem is that the sound hasn't grown up with me. I dont like little parties as much I as used to. I know I've had this conversation before, but if a promotor could promis that I could listen to Goa with an mind-blowing sound system and mind blowing lighting, I'd be right there. What drives promotors away from this is the 'hippy goa culture' so prelavent in Montreal.
Honnestly I'd be the first to promote an oldskool goa party. Was anyone at Psychotrop 2.. that was teh sickest goa party ever
