I've been to Tokyo, but it was just a 4 hour layover from Korea.
We we're on our way home from the Philippines. And I was only 2 at the time..

i been there...highly recommended...went on a two weeks student exchange program a year ago...
great times at the japanese high school...just because were were americans we were treated like the beatles...especially the girls...and those sailor uniforms were the bomb
sux we only stayed in tokyo for two days...one of the greatest cities in the world so much to do there and so many places to go like akihabara, a part of tokyo which is closed off to cars on the weekends, the place sells the latest and most advanced electronics you can find...problem is stuff is pretty expensive, or shinjuku an awesome shopping district
the people there are great...pretty friendly towards foreigners, and the ladies are gorgeous...its funny seeing how people in japan try to emulate american culture into their own...you see that stuff everywhere...and of course...THE ENGRISH! best part is checking out the different store names with ENGRISH like "Happy Park Go" and "Condomania"
haha thats awesome. So they do treat foreigners well? Or was it polite-well. Like they arent gonna be dicks to you, but you are going to be treated like a hardcore outsider?

Tuan, I know what you're saying about the whole American emulation. It's kind of sad in a way though. They should be proud of their own culture. But in a way, it's kinda of neato that's it sort of a hybrid atm. As long as it doesn't get any worse.
btw I've never been to Japan, but I would love to go and have always thought of going. Tokyo is by far one of the coolest cities in the world.

the natives are generally very polite although you might get some stares what not because you're a foreigner...orbax if you were to go to japan, with some basic japanese conversational skills you'd be getting pussy there left right above and beyond...japanese chicks dig foreigners and that is a fact...especially if you're caucasian or black
