Thumbs up Some new remixes - check 'em out please

I got inspired to remix a mainstream song after hearing the Sander Klienenberg remix of "rock your body" so heres..

Jay Z - Bonnie and Clyde (project rebound trance remix)

I tried to EQ it today, and utterly failed. Its alright though because I just did it for fun.

And another one. My friend was listening to a song with a neptunes beat, and told me the melody would sound good in a trance song (original sample I ripped))

Snoop dogg - blows my mind (project rebound's nepchoon dub remix)

I just took the melody, and spread it out 200%. Here's the mid file if anyone wants it.

thanks

I'm listening to Bonnie & Clyde as we speak...

I rather like what you've done with it, I'm not a big fan of the opening synth though, it also in need of some serious mastering...
Major clipping at some points...

Rather like this part at 4:40, Breaks around the 5 Minute mark are nice and a nice pad. This part right after it is cool too.

I think alot of your ideas are very good, just could be a bit more banging. Some of the synths are a bit cheasy sounding which isn't necessarily too bad a thing, but I think if you want to make something like this work you need synths that better fit the track and also aren't so cookie cutter. Like I said though, with some work this could be a rather serious track, some interesting stuff...

I don't know how long you've been producing, but It's rather good esp if you haven't been producing too long.

Things I would consider changing, the Kick, and the perc. I'd harden up the kick, and change the perc, also I would try changing the synths a bit, can't reall give too much advice since my production is much below your level.

Overall a good effort though, considering you're remixing such a mainstream song, I'd say its much better than the original

Will give the snoop dogg one a listen in a bit.

**EDIT**
Snoop Dogg Review:

Opening is nice, but again it seems some mastering is in order, and again I would change the kick. I kinda like the clap but it is a bit overpowering caus' the kick is so weak.

Hmm was kinda repetitive too, seemed like it was goin somewhere but never really got there.

Again, not so bad though, with some work on it I'm sure it could be excellent.

thanks for your comments. I thought about trying to master and stuff, but it usually doesn't work out, and I lose all the life out of the song. I don't have too much success with kicks either, as I don't have to many samples of them. I tried making my own, but it also didn't work out.

Anyway, I noticed the sounds was kind of cheesy the day after I made it (yesterday), I guess i'll try a new synth, kick, and percs. Also gonna probably scrap the bassline.

once again, thanks for your input!

NP!

Try layering your kicks. Also, AIM me at SyM2oo1 if you want, I have a ton of samples I could send over, and perhaps help you out a bit. Kicks are one of the only things I can do decently

only listened to the Bonnie & Clyde track.
i like it. the melody's nice, cool break at 5:00. Mastering can be imporved as said before. The bassline could be better too, it's poor compared to the lead, and not really the same style (cheesier).

Pleasant remix, really. Looking forward to hearing more stuff from you.

Thanks Romain. That bassline is the first to go in the new version.
