These things are really nothing special - algorithms that will always give the same results are properties of certain operations (such as adding the digits of a number or forming another combination from the same digits).

That still doesnt explan how it knows your number, when you only enter like 2 or 3 digits.

doesn't it say the number you picked is the one you circled?
Either way, that was bizarre. Probably the best algorithm puzzle i've seen.
