theres usually supposed to be two blanks, one at the top and one at the bottom am i missing something? or are there actually 48 writeable discs and 2 that were supposed to be writeables?

Seriously though.

Yeah, there are 52. The ones without any silver are there I think to protect the bottom one from getting scratched, not sure about the top one. It's been the case on all reels I've bought anyway.
