does anybody know where i can download IE6? thye network installation version (if there is one..)

a friend of mine is having difficulty with IE X on his comp and wants me to download the latest version.

so, i said i'd try get if off the net, but the only version i can find is the one which u download a wee setup app, then it downloads the necessary files for you.

Let me make a wild guess... microsoft.com since they want control over distribution they don't allow you to dl the entire app, but this isnt any thing new MS has been doing this for years.

You will probably have to buy some stupid PC magazine that has a cd with utilities and other shit on it. Most have a full copy of IE6 on them, just check the label.

I've said it once, i'll say it again: Convert him to Firebird!

ya, i understand what ya mean, but like, as someone stated in this thread, they give em out on CDs, plus, if u wanna download a service pack, or other software, it sometimes gives u the option of a network download. whic is dead handy for installin sw on computers with no net connection.

First go to DOS prompt and type in Format C: . You're a friggin' idiot if you can't find IE6 on the internet. Turn off your computer and go to sleep....
