Oakenfold @ Nation Nov19.03
That's right, after 5 years of wait, saw the man, the legend.
Wednesday night show, torrential downpour, Nation was still packed!
When I got there at 10:30, Sandra Collins was already spinning some tight shit. Lots of hard house and trance - very well done, great intro to Oaky.
Paul starts snooping in the background at midnight and finally takes the decks at 10 past. For the next three hours the crowd was fcuking nuts. Fresh tracks, awesome mixing and great sound/light system - best show I've seen to date. That ganja someone was passing around, helped too
After seeing Tiesto, PVD, and van Buuren twice this year...Oakenfold remains #1 in my book. I can die a happy man now.

Good...i'm still debating between Oakie and Vath....they are both playing the same night in the same club, in different rooms...i might have to check out Oakenfold though....

gotta agree with you on that... although I would like to see him one day just for the experience... i'm just positive he wouldn't compare to some of the other people i've seen live (AvB, Tiesto, PvD, and Ferry come to mind )

Well I have to disagree I was at that Oakie show at Nation and I think it was great vibe and music. A nice mix of music -- threw in some songs with some old stuff (heard some prodigy - 'smack my bitch up'). People were great there.
I saw PVD at Glow about 6 months ago and for me the mix was too hard almost to the point where I did not enjoy after a while. Also the audience was way more hard core -- more f'ed up.
So it really depends on what kind of mixes you like.

oakey can have an ok set at times...but at a big massive or depending on the feedback he's getting from the crowd he can through a great set..that's what i think...and experienced...but i always have fun when i go see him..

Sorry for the dumb question but isn't Gamemaster a fairly new track?
At least from this year, I mean as fairly new.
And re Oakey, worst possible ever video, Starry Eyed Suprise I KNOW that song was good once.
