Big Ears Sasha - Xpander (HKT03 Bringin It Back Cut)

well...i know everyones thinkin i killed a classic, but i thought i was bringin it to an interestin twist. i had a great idea on what to do, and i started to do it. i had the full intention of werkin on it from beginnin to end. unfortunately, my fruityloops killed it. for some odd reason when i imported the melody sample and cut it into fruityloops, it didnt save. i had it on a slicer channel and was workin on it late. i got tired, slept, woke up and the slicer channel was there, but no sample. i loaded up the sample again, and it was messed up. long story short, i cant redo the melody like i had so here is the unfinished project. i know that the later kicks are funky, and i was gonna fix that, but i didnt...

i know it sounds pretty bad towards the end, but i just want your opinion on it. was it worth goin through with it? i thought it was, i thought i was a addin a different flare to it...

I don't think I'm gonna listen to it.

Not only did you commit an unholy deed by remixing Xpander but you admitted it was crap. Why even bother?

"Sucks", if you wanna know what sucks then :

Kick
Synth (not sure i can call it this ehehhe)

Those are the only two elemts in the tune, im assuming this is a piss take right ?

Edit, i just read ur post and it seems you are serious about this, ok ill give you some constructive feedback :

Tunes with just 2 elements for more than 5 seconds gets very boring, this actually does this for like 30 seconds. The kick is thin and pissy, try making it more snappy then adding a "Bass" drum under it. Get some percussion in there, some FX, a bassline, delete that synth and start a complete new tune hehehe.

Take care

i was serious, but after battlin with fruityloops to reimport the damn samples i quit. i didnt add any elements but a few. i just wanted to hear what people thought of the melody. it was a rough under draft if you will. i dont really add tons of elements when i work right off the bat. i make the 'essentials' and then work over that. i WAS gonna add more, but after fruity ate my sample, i said forget it...
