Getting a bike

ok,so i am thinking................. about getting a motorcycle.

i have no clue how to drive one, but i want one. i guess i would learn with the one i get.

a couple of questions:

A) iv heard from some poeple at school that Ducati is the way to go when it comes to bikes.... so i was thinking of getting one of those

B) what bike is U. Therman driving in the movie Kill Bill?

i heard that if u don't kno how to ride it's best to start off with a low powered bike just so u don't kill urself, makes sense

i was thinkin bout bikes too but ionno if it'll ever happen, insurance is proly a crap load but bikes are cheaper than cars and can go a lot faster

go for it if u can

HAHAHAH thats just like saying
i dont know how to drive, but ill buy a car and ill learn just like that
In all seriousness riding a bike takes a fair amount of skill especially with the hand-eye co-ordination,
if you are serious about getting one, then i suggest getting a lower powered one because i bet you will drop it and possibly crash it

Depends on what you want you bike for :P
whether it be a dirt bike or road bike ect

Don't take this personally, but you sound like you don’t have a clue about motorcycles and just want to look cool. I had a bike for many years, but finally sold it due to safety concerns. My brother nearly died in an accident and I had many close calls.

1. First of all they're very dangerous, not necessarily cause of your driving but because of the other guy who's driving a car who doesn’t see you. It's bad enough in the USA, but suicidal to drive an undeveloped country where they basically have no driving laws.

2. Sounds like u want a sports bike, but you should consider what you want to use it for before buying one. For example you would be very unhappy with a sports bike if u used it to tour the country on long trips. These types of bikes have no room for luggage, sitting position is uncomfortable for long rides, and sports suspensions are rock hard, making you feel every bump in the road.

I recommend you start out a smaller, less expensive, used bike to learn how to drive before investing a lot of money. You might discover the mystic of biking is not all that it seems.

i know the dangers of bikes, and they do have driving laws in guatemala and el salvador. (in el salvador they dont follow them much) but in guatemala they are great about that.
