progressive: somewhat slower & softer beat, more melody
hard trance: harder (&faster) beat, most of the time a repeating melody (more energetic music)
techno: harder beat, short, basic melody that keeps repeating on and on and on
dance: the vengaboys n shit like that
house: more basic trance, trance is a sort of a ripoff from house, house is slower & the melodies r way different
uplifting: very energetic tunes & steady beat
gabber: fast, hard, raw
