Stupid but useful question...

Ok,
I've got Pioneer CDJ100...
I have a track played at 0.0 tempo and i know that its BPM is 128...
what is the exact tempo, to make the track 132?

too hard?
lets make it easier..

i've got a track played at 0.0 tempo and its bpm is 128
what is the exact tempo i should make on the cd player if i want the track to be played at 129bpm?

hehe.. weird question but what the hell

you need to learn to beatmatch by ear instead of worrying about numbers. but it's about 3.13% to go from 128 to 132 and 0.78% to go from 128 to 129. you simply divide the bmp you want the track to be by it's original tempo. i.e. 132 divided by 128 is 1.03125. so in actuality it's 3.125%. cheers.

like i said. simply divide the bmp that you want by the track's original bpm and bob's your uncle. easy peasy. cheers.

sounds pretty logic..
but are you sure about it?
i mean, how do you know that you should divide?

VIO is right. I dunno how you call it in English, but in maths there's this handy thing called "the 3-simple rule" (lol I'm sure you don't call it this way!).
Anyways it's a basic equation really, that goes like this:
if the track is 128 @ 0.0%
then 132 = x
which means

128-100
132-x
you multiply 132 by 100 and then divide by 128, you'll get 103,125, so minus 100, and you have to increase the pitch by 3.125%. VIO's way is more simple, but comes from this logic.
