Thumbs up Ferry Corsten

I must say, to me this guy is a hero. He's a fantastic DJ and very under rated, i have only seen him twice this year (though im going to see him on friday) and both have been fantastic sets. PvD and Armin have their radio shows and their record labels, Tiesto is No1 and pretty much gets away with everything but Ferry is both a great DJ and producer. His new album isnt too bad, and Rock Your Body Rock and Right of Way are fantastic!

I really hope he makes it into the Top 5 DJs list next year.

He is a great DJ yes, but how can somebody who is one of the top 10 djs in the world be under rated?

look at the amount of threads in this forum dedicated to PvD, Tiesto, Armin or Gabriel & Dresden and you'll see what I mean...

Doesnt mean he is under rated. Plus many of the threads about those guys are flame threads.

ferry has done so much great songs and remixes so i forgive him for making crap like 'rock your body rock' and those other recent tunes.

im sorry i dont agree
i think rock your body rock is a great tune. when he dropped it at the nec 10000 ravers were going mad. and every time ive heard it since its brought a smile to my face...
exactly the same thing can be said for right of way. its different from the run of the mill trance that has been produced this year. both tunes are party tunes to an extent, they make people have a great time

crap ehh. "I'm gonna have to kinda, disagree with you on that one. Yeah," Just my personal opinion but I think it's so kick ass that someone can take a nu-skool element and perfectly interweave it with a powerful trance hook. Just my 2 cents though.

I think Right of Way (the single) has been hugely underrated by just about everyone. I don't see how any of the uplifting garbage out there can even compare to it (nevermind the fact that they shouldn't bother trying to upstage the uplifting work he pioneered years ago). The direction Ferry is now taking in production is at least some sort of attempt to break from the super-synth cookie-cutter mold, and he should be recognized for that.

I think he's an excellent DJ, though when I saw him live not too long ago he was lacking on progression, tending more towards anthem-dropping, particularly near the end.
