Creamware

Hi

I'm planning on getting a Creamware soundcard/DSP... anyone owns one? I'd like to know if you would purchase it again now that you've used it, and what you like/dislike about it?

If you own one mention which model

Thanks!

What do you need a DSP card for may I ask?

To squeeze more juice out of my computer, for virtual synths and effects. Besides I heard many good things on the sound of the Creamware synths. Since I'm planning to be 100% virtual, this is the best way to go, especially since they can be integrated seamlessly inside Cubase.

And since I'll upgrade my computer to a 3.2 GHz (or whatever is the fastest CPU when I get it), it's the only way to get more processing power.

I would argue that with a 3.2, you don't need a DSP card. I use to hang out with a guy with a creamware pulsar. He thought the synths were great untill he got a virus. I suspect there are better synths out there than what you get on a pulsar or luna or whatever. I've got a Virus myself and I still reach for Atmosphere and pro-53.

So think long and hard about it cos I believe that your need for a DSP card is low considering your not running stuff like TDM synths.
