Dunno Question on fixing vinyl holes

How would I go about fixing up vinyls where the hole is too small (it gets stuck on the TT) or where the hole is slightly off-centre?

if its too tight, u can use sand paper and carefully widen the hole to a desired fit around the spindle.

if its off center, theres not much u can do about it... just be careful when u play it

Just like something else in life, but I won't go there.

but you just did!!

a solution would be to use a differnt hole to save wear and tear on the other one, but that wont work for records and this conversation is leading to a place that is better suited in a different forum all together.

Nem flips his record over... but they are the same hole... pauses for a moment and then gets a sly grin as he understands what was said...

If it is too tight just put it on and put your hands on either side and give it a few twists. I find that usually works.

Actually, be happy as long as the hole is tight (eeek that's getting worse) as you can have other problems arrising if it's not. Like needles jumping when queing and so on. That can be fixed though.

Cheers
Nem

Just use a scisser (closed) and spin a little around in the hole, that's what I always do.
