playing an incomplete divx or xvid video?

hey
I was downloading a video (divx or xvid not sure), and at 99.7% the damn thing stopped downloading, and now the file is no longer available
so I got the file missing like 1 mb, and it wont play.
is there a way I can make this thing work?
I tried vlc player, but it only playes half of the video..

divx player should automatically fix the index and allow you to watch up to the point you have the file.

if that doesnt work search google for divfix. this fixes the index of divx files that are incomplete, allowing you to play them.

I have Avi preview, but it only playes like 7 mins of the video.
I am going to try divx fix
