Thats what i call way too much alcohol!
It’s nothing to be proud of, except maybe in college fraternity circles. But a Latvian man has nonetheless gained recognition for setting what could be a world blood alcohol record. The most amazing thing is the booze didn’t kill him. Latvian police picked up the unidentified middle-aged male, who was unconscious but stable. His blood test showed 7.22 parts per million of alcohol, around twice the level considered deadly.
According to a police spokesperson, the average bloke would vomit at around 1.2, lose consciousness at 3.0, and stop breathing at about 4.0. The man was taken to a hospital emergency ward, where head Martin Sics noted there’s no record of anyone surviving such a dose. That includes in neighbouring Russia, where they take real pride in their vodka-guzzling abilities. “He won't remember a thing when he comes to,” Sics said. But someday he could read all about it in the Guinness Book of World Records. And maybe toast his effort with a drink or two.
