Hmm, well...
Firstly, the lead seems to be overpowering just about everything, check your levels.
Second, I think this is too slow, you could push the bpm up a great deal and this would be a lot more driving.
Third, the breaks need more variation - now they're just the same through the entire track. Throw down some fills and extra percs.

Oh boy, that just seems like a load of nagging, doesn't it?
Hm... you have a good idea going here but you really need to tweak the overall sound. It's certainly an interesting piece of work.

oh wow, i actually did get a reply

yeah, i know the levels r quite high, im terrible at mastering, i flung it thru a compressor and crap

didnt really care for the percussion, i was concentrating on lead and bassline, trying to get a real rich atmospheric sound

i got a comment saying that the lead was really distorted...that was probably the compressors fault

there wasnt much variation i could put in it, i had to keep a certain theme to it, its kinda a bad habit of me...quirks and shit

oh well, thanks for the comments, i appreciate it

i liked it. i really did...i think the bpm is fine where it is. everythin is great, but i agree with mr. mystery that you gotta add some variation. it gets a bit repetitive and by the end of the song it feels like you been listenin to a loop. but other than that, wonderful remix...keep it up

This song has always screamed out for a breaks mix for me. This remix is quite good but also repetative. I like but I don't aswell, not sure how you would fix it apart from adding more elements and shuffling it around. Good luck!

Just listening to this now. Just writing down what I think as I listen:

1) not sure about that open hihat your loop is using - sounds very out the box and "sharp" to begin with, it's more of a trance hi hat than a breakbeat hihat - maybe consider EQing it a bit or just putting something on it so it's not so obvious

2) could do with trickling in other loops and shuffles to make the beats more interesting i.e. every eight bars or so drop a whoosh and then another interesting hi hat pattern or something different

3) Those synths sound way too amateur man, really sorry but they do! They take up almost the whole of the mix too. (I'm being no less harsh than I am with myself).

Good idea matey, just needs that bit more variation I reckon.

I like it, it's very good. I used to be a break beat style DJ and thise is the sort of thing I might have played at certain venues.

The beat is very P.S.K. by Schooly D sounding which I like... very old school. Bit like me. Besides if it worked for a whole track with just rapping I think it works well here. Any breaks fan would know this and appreciate it as such.

Lead neads to come down though but other than that nice one.

If you are interested I would love to have a go at a remix as it's just calling my name.

Cheers
Nem

had a quick stream of it to listen and i think it sounds pretty class. I like the bass but im a junkie for thick bass'

im gonna have a better listen when it downloads

basically to echo everyone else variation would make this great, maybe a little bit faster, imo
