I think his main problem was he got too big for himself to handle. Too many people paying simply to see him spin without worrying about the quality of his mixes. I think Tiesto is going through a somewhat similar stage, though he can still throw down a solid set when he tries hard....he just doesnt always...

Oakenfold was one of the first djs, alongside van dyk, tiesto and armin that got me into trance in the first place. He is a legend, and his musical influence and tastes vary very widely and it shows in his music. Dont hate him for not being a total trance head, do a little research on his discography and history and be amazed, hes worked with various artists.
