I find it funny how we all take this stuff quite seriously, cos when I ask pros for tips I get 'Just fuck about with the settings'

My SAE tutor once said 'You dont wanna know the math, thats for the engineers, just fuck about with the setting till you think it sounds good. If your doing dance music, just add a shitload of reverb'

ok sean.. from now on when you meet some pro producer that can give you tips i demand you not to get DRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNK...

That is such a crap way of doing things, how would you know its gonna sound better with alot of reverb on the snare, filter modulation on the bassline.
No, Im sorry there is things you need to do in the creativity duration that you would miss if you left it all till after the track.
I dunno how ppl could do it.

He was talking about shaping the sound completely with EQ'ing.
